Originally created as a 6 part radio series in 1965, and released in 1966 by Sveriges Radio. This is the first LP recording by either of these composers. Recorded at EMS (Elektron Musik Studion), the newly established studio facility at Swedish Radio. This pioneering work did not easily fit in any category that existed at the time. Inspired by the work of Öyvind Fahlström (who was a pioneer of concrete poetry along with the Lettrists and Futurists), a few young Swedish artists began exploring new text based experiments. As Norway’s premier noise troupe, Lasse Marhaug and John Hegre’s Jazkamer project has a certain status to uphold. Rather than resting on their well-earned laurels, Marhaug and Hegre keep a gruelling schedule of shows and an even more gruelling schedule of releases, which has culminated recently in an ambitious album-a-month series spanning throughout 2010. While the concept itself is now fairly well worn, what has astonished this time around is the sheer quality the duo has managed to keep up while flitting from genre to genre ... more info

Points of Friction formed in January of 1981, shortly after witnessing Captain Beefheart & his Magic Band perform live. Joseph Hammer, Damian Bisciglia, Tim Alexander, and Kenny Ryman were the core quartet though sometimes LAFMS founder Rick Potts would sit in, among others. Their first recording was a spontaneous affair. The group having no formal musical training (or even knowledge of “freely improvised music”) relied on their voices and whatever else was at hand--wire mesh, sheet plastic, an old guitar, etc. Gradually, the ... more info

Marcellvs L. is a renowned video & sound-artist from Brazil, living in Berlin. His particular and radical production attracts attention by the intensity with which it associates philosophical concepts to electronic images and sounds. His work places itself in a zone of undiscernibility, which turns it inapprehensible by this or that audiovisual genre creating its own discursive universe. "KLAVIERWELLEN" (Piano Waves) was recorded on November 4th, 2010 in the lagoons of Venice with a grand piano in a upside down position being ... more info
