Concert to celebrate the release of Circuit Breaker’s album ”My Descent Into Capital” on Harbinger Sound

CIRCUIT BREAKER

Circuit Breaker are a duo of brothers from South London whose approach to song writing aims to join the dots between various different synth-wave, post-punk and industrial influences.

The group have recently released two EPs on Manchester’s Tombed Visions and are about to release their first full length via legendary Nottingham avant-punk imprint Harbinger Sound, after having earlier this year toured with new label mates Sleaford Mods.

Live: viewers can expect the brothers to veer between fragments of their recorded output and longer improvisational pieces incorporating drum machines, synths and samplers as well as singer Peter’s “querulous alienated outsider vocals”. Fans of artists ranging from the adventurous end of 80′s pop a la Associates and Japan, as well as the darker experiments of Coil or Scott Walker will no doubt be intrigued.

THE BOMBER JACKETS

The Bomber Jackets are Russell Walker, Sian Dorrer and Dan Bolger. Each casts a considerable shadow over the London DIY scene, having played in The Pheromoans, Plug and Ravioli Me Away, (amongst overs)… The trio tap into the rich English heritage of combining a homebrewed take on minimal synth with subtly dark and seemingly dispassionate monologs which are as much mystical as they are confessional. Seminal practitioners of the electronic underground such as Solid Space, Colin Potter or Gareth William’s Flaming Tunes are evoked but ultimately The Bomber Jackets are a new and hybridized unit.. ready to (minimal) wave goodbye to their forebarers and repurpose the industrial past for the bleak present.

A myriad of releases has seen them pop up on labels such as ALTER, Night People and Night School, all of them being totems to consistently high quality eclectesism: giving some idea as to the disparate strands the group are able to successfully combine together.
